Eureka today announced the release of its Stella pendant. The small, minimalist fixture combines high output downlight with indirect ambient uplight. The decorative, yet powerful pendant has a clean, modern aesthetic and is designed for interior use.
Stella is intended for use in high ceiling and open areas where there is a value to illuminating the ceiling as well as the space below. Using a high-power light engine Stella provides both uplight via opened areas at the top of the shade, and downlight through a classic spherical diffuser. The diffuser reduces glare while allowing a generous amount of light to be delivered.
Available in black or white standard colors for the outside of the luminaire, the internal part of the shade is always white for optimal light reflection. Stella can be cable or stem mounted (cable standard length is 60”and stem standard length is 36”), and is offered with three standard CCTs, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K. No hardware is visible on the fixture or the canopy.
“Combining two cylinders seems simple enough, but the details, such as how they connect, their proportions and the softened edges that give Stella its sense of power and elegance,” said Francois Renaud, Director of Design for Eureka.
Stella delivers 2,360 lumens in its regular output version and 4,100 lumens in its high output version. Twenty-two per cent is uplight.
