Montreal, December 9, 2024 – Eureka (www.eurekalighting.com), an established leader in decorative lighting solutions, is pleased to announce that it has received seven 2024 Product Innovation Awards (PIA) from Architectural Products magazine. Joli, Marro, Elke, Frank, Lattice, Roof, and Velia were all recognized in this year’s competition.
The PIA program was created to celebrate the ground-breaking products, systems, and materials that help architects achieve new levels of creativity or performance in their design. Each entry is reviewed by an esteemed panel of practising architects; manufacturers of products and systems are awarded based on attributes, qualities, functionality, or performance beyond industry standards.
Joli, Marro, and Elke pendants feature rich colors, large-scale formats, and simple shapes, all with acoustic properties. The trio's aesthetics were inspired by the Color Field painting movement of the 1950s, where artists experimented with the power of color in large areas.
Frank features a thermoformed shade made from sound-absorbing recycled PET felt that increases acoustic comfort in a space. Measuring 24.5” in diameter and 16.7” in height, the Frank shade is available in a palette of 22 colors.
Lattice, in sphere, cone, or cylinder, is a sculptural luminaire that is available on demand. Its multiple, intricate layers are created using metal 3D printing, for a distinctive design aesthetic. Light passes through delicately, creating a gentle, ambient glow.
Roof showcases a wide, curved diffuser displaying comfortable, uniform, and glare-free illumination. It is nestled within the cavity of a delicate felt exterior shell. Made from recycled PET panels, the felt shell offers sound absorbing properties.
Velia is a unique tubular luminaire with a sleek, modernized look. The versatile family is offered in a variety of colors, textures, lengths, and configurations to meet a variety of space aesthetics. Velia’s outer layer is a durable polycarbonate diffuser film with a smooth surface and three unique finishes. The interior film is offered in a choice of colors.
Winners of the 14th annual program will be profiled in the November/December issue of Architectural Products.
