Eureka, an established leader in decorative lighting solutions, is pleased to announce that its Tangram-Trace luminaire has been recognized once again in the 16th edition of the GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Awards. During the annual gala, Tangram-Trace was awarded PLATINUM in the Special Awards/Materials category at the annual gala.
The GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Awards is an international competition that celebrates the excellence and talent of creative professionals and firms who have distinguished themselves through exemplary practice. Created in Montreal in 2007, the original mission was to recognize the excellence of Quebec designers and architects. The competition was expanded to include international entries in 2020. When the awards were first announced, Tangram-Trace received GOLD CERTIFICATION in the Special Awards/Materials category and SILVER CERTIFICATION in the Industrial Design/Lighting Fixture-indoor category.
Using bold straps and a prismatic lens, Tangram-Trace creates a dramatic aesthetic and provides high-quality, diffused linear illumination. With its flat power cable fully concealed inside its strap, designers can invent their own visual language without suspension cables or fasteners in the way. Spacers direct the path of the strap between the fixture and canopy: straps may be pulled in or pushed out to create the desired shape. The luminaire is available in 2', 4', and 6' lengths; the straps can be configured into 12 pre-set shapes, or designers can work with Eureka to create custom designs. Tangram-Trace is intended for modern environments such as conference and executive areas, hospitality applications, or reception spaces.
This is the second design award for Tangram-Trace in 2023. The luminaire recently won the distinguished Best of the Best Red Dot Award.
